Description

Tintex Low Temperature Dye is recommended as a colourant for cotton, linen, viscose, rayon, hemp and their blends. It will colour wood, paper and flowers, as well as buttons and zips of the correct fabrication; it is ideal for tie-dyeing. Tintex Low Temperature Dye is a water-soluble dyestuff that requires a setting agent to obtain cohesion to fabric. All of our standard colours are interblendable with each other creating an infinite palate. This product is packaged in convenient 25g size which includes the required setting agent. It is also available in bulk sizes of  50g, 100g, 250g, 500g and 1kg packs, these larger sizes do not include the required setting agent.

These dyes require the use of a SETTING AGENT called SODA ASH which can be added directly to the dyebath or used to pre-treat the fabric, as in tie dyeing. The amount of Soda Ash required depends on your chosen dye method, but as a general idea use 40g of dye per 1kg of dry weight fabric and Tintex Setting Agent at a rate of approx. 100g per 1kg of dry weight fabric.
